Body composition is of critical importance to all of us. If body tissue consists primarily of fat, you carry it. If your tissue consists primarily of muscle, it carries you.
Your muscles are your best fat burners. muscle burns calories 70 times faster than fat. Losing muscle slows down your fat burning metabolic rate. Gaining muscle speeds it up!
Fortunately we have the power to influence both fat and muscle. It’s called EXERCISE and everyone can and must do it to maintain good overall health.
A recent study in the proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences determined that after just 3 months of working out all of the subjects in the study appeared to sprout new neurons and those who gained the most in cardiovascular fitness also grew the most nerve cells.
We can argue which exercise is best, but what we really need is to find the program that will insure long term adherence. The best exercise for you is the exercise you actually do long term. Everyone has time for an 8 minute workout 3 times a week
